Pulse and Ember Terms of Use

Effective: July 20, 2026

These Terms govern use of the Pulse and Ember apps provided by Yuan Sheng Lin. By using an app, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility and consent

Ember is intended only for adults age 18 or older. Before starting an Ember session, you must obtain clear consent from every adult present. You may not use either app to monitor, analyze, or record anyone secretly. You are responsible for following local law and stopping immediately if consent is withdrawn.

What the apps provide

Pulse provides private pairing, heartbeat, haptic, moment, and optional reunion features. Ember estimates rhythm, movement, sound energy, and signal timing from available phone and Apple Watch sensors. Scores are approximate, personal entertainment metrics. Ember does not identify speakers, gender, words, sexual content, sexual activity, or orgasm.

No medical use

The apps are not medical devices or medical services. They do not diagnose, treat, prevent, or monitor a condition and must not be used for emergencies or health decisions. Sensor availability and accuracy vary by device, placement, permissions, environment, and Apple Watch connection.

Private pairing and sharing

You are responsible for sharing pairing codes only with the intended person. Live metrics or history are shared only when the relevant control is enabled. Do not attempt to access another user's room, bypass subscription controls, interfere with the service, or use the apps unlawfully.

Subscriptions

Ember Premium is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription currently listed at US $4.99 and an annual subscription currently listed at US $39.99. Local prices and taxes vary, and the price shown by Apple's purchase sheet at confirmation controls.

Payment is charged to the user's Apple Account after confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Users can manage or cancel at Apple Subscriptions. Deleting an app or account does not cancel a subscription. Restore Purchases is available in the app.

Free access and changes

Ember may provide one free local session. Premium may include unlimited sessions, opt-in pair sync, cloud history, and related private features. We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features, but changes do not remove rights already provided by Apple for an active billing period.

Accounts and deletion

The apps may create an anonymous account for pairing and cloud services. Keep devices and pairing codes secure. Ember users can delete the account in Settings. Account deletion is permanent and may remove cloud and local records. Purchase records may remain with Apple or RevenueCat for billing, fraud prevention, security, tax, or legal reasons.

Intellectual property

The apps, branding, interface, and original content are owned by the developer or licensed providers. These Terms grant a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the apps through the App Store.

Availability and disclaimer

The apps are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a specific sensor result, successful partner connectivity, or compatibility with every device or environment. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights.

Apple terms

Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for app support, which is provided at the contact below.

Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where the user lives. Questions may be sent to tel0955850213@yahoo.com.tw.
