Pulse and Ember Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

This policy explains how Yuan Sheng Lin ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in the Pulse and Ember apps. Pulse supports private couple connection features. Ember provides private rhythm, movement, sound-energy, and optional Apple Watch insights.

On-device sensor processing

Ember processes microphone input in memory to calculate numeric metrics such as sound cadence, relative intensity, event count, clipping ratio, and signal confidence. Raw microphone audio is not recorded, saved to a file, uploaded, transcribed, replayed, or used to identify a speaker, gender, words, or sexual content.

Motion signals are reduced to rhythm and intensity values. Data that remains only on the device is not collected by us.

Information we collect

How information is used

We use collected information only to authenticate an installation, pair two users, provide requested live sharing and cloud history, deliver subscription access, maintain security, respond to support, and improve purchase reliability. We do not use health, fitness, location, or session data for advertising.

Partner sharing and consent

Live metrics and shared history are available only inside a private pair and only when the user enables the relevant sharing control. Ember asks the user to confirm that all adults present agree before microphone analysis starts. Users must not use either app for covert monitoring or recording.

Service providers

We use Google Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Realtime Database for accounts, pairing, live sync, and cloud records. We use RevenueCat for purchase validation and subscription entitlements. Apple provides HealthKit, StoreKit, and App Store billing. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Retention and deletion

Local results remain on the device until the user deletes them through the app or removes the app. Cloud records remain while needed to provide the selected feature. In Ember, Settings > Delete Account removes the anonymous identity, the user's cloud records, live sensor entries, and local score history, and disconnects the partner. A user may also request deletion at the email below. Records created by a partner may remain in that partner's account. Apple and RevenueCat may retain transaction records as required for billing, fraud prevention, tax, security, or legal obligations.

Security and international processing

We use access rules intended to limit private data to authenticated room members and eligible subscription features. Internet transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed completely secure. Firebase and RevenueCat may process data in countries outside the user's country.

Children and intended audience

Ember is intended only for adults age 18 or older. The apps are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Not a medical service

Pulse and Ember are for private connection and enjoyment. They are not medical devices and do not diagnose, treat, monitor, or prevent any medical condition.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The current date will appear at the top. For questions, privacy rights, or deletion requests, email tel0955850213@yahoo.com.tw.
