POTATO – Privacy Policy

POTATO (“the App”) is a focus timer for macOS developed by Yuan Sheng Lin (“we”, “us”).
We designed POTATO to be local-first: you can use the full core experience
without an account, and your data stays on your device unless you choose to sign in.
This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
1. Information we collect
- Account information (only if you sign in with Google): your email address,
name, and profile identifier. This is used solely to create your account and sync your
focus data across your devices.
- Your focus data: project names and time you track. This is stored on your
device. It is only uploaded to our cloud (Google Firebase) if you sign in to enable sync.
- Purchase information (if you buy Premium): your purchase is processed by
Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm your purchase status; this involves your App Store
purchase history and an anonymous app-user identifier. We never see your payment card details.
2. How we use information
We use the information above only to: provide and operate the App, sign you in, sync your
focus data across your devices, and unlock and restore your Premium purchase. We do not use it
for advertising or profiling.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We do not show third-party ads.
- We do not record what you type or which apps you use; flow detection (Premium)
runs entirely on your device and is never uploaded.
4. Third-party services
When you opt in to the relevant features, your data may be processed by:
- Google Firebase (Authentication & sync) – privacy
- RevenueCat (purchase management) – privacy
- Apple (App Store purchases) – privacy
5. Data retention & deletion
If you sign in, your synced data is kept until you delete it or request deletion. You can stop
all cloud collection at any time by signing out — the App keeps working locally. To request deletion
of your account data, email us at the address below and we will remove it.
6. Children
POTATO is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children.

POTATO（「本 App」）是一款 macOS 專注計時器，由林垣升開發。本 App 採「本機優先」設計：
不需要帳號就能使用完整核心功能，你的資料留在裝置上，除非你選擇登入。
1. 我們收集的資料
- 帳號資料（僅在你用 Google 登入時）：email、名字與個人識別碼，只用於建立帳號與跨裝置同步。
- 你的專注資料：專案名稱與計時，儲存在你的裝置上；只有在你登入啟用同步時，才會上傳到雲端（Google Firebase）。
- 購買資料（若你購買 Premium）：由 Apple 處理付款，我們透過 RevenueCat 確認購買狀態（含 App Store 購買紀錄與一個匿名識別碼）。我們不會看到你的信用卡資訊。
2. 資料用途
僅用於：提供與運作 App、登入、跨裝置同步專注資料、解鎖與回復 Premium 購買。不用於廣告或剖析。
3. 我們不會做的事
- 不跨其他 App 或網站追蹤你。
- 不販售或出租你的個人資料。
- 不顯示第三方廣告。
- 不記錄你打了什麼或用了哪些 App；心流偵測（Premium）完全在本機運作，絕不上傳。
4. 第三方服務
當你啟用相關功能時，資料可能由以下服務處理：Google Firebase（登入與同步）、RevenueCat（購買管理）、Apple（App Store 購買）。
5. 資料保留與刪除
若你登入，同步資料會保留到你刪除或要求刪除為止。你可隨時登出停止所有雲端收集，App 仍可本機使用。
要刪除帳號資料，請來信下方信箱。
6. 兒童
POTATO 分級為 4+，並非針對 13 歲以下兒童，我們不會在知情下收集兒童個人資料。
